Design is an important step in the process of implementing a project to deploy a Wi-Fi network. A preliminary analysis allows you to avoid possible problems in the future related to the quality of coverage, the stability and speed of the wireless data channel, ensuring the proper level of network security or the amount of equipment involved in the project

SYNERGO Since server rooms are places where important information and technology are stored, it is very important to ensure their safety. Damage due to fire can lead to huge losses. Therefore, automatic gas fire extinguishing systems are widely used in server rooms. Below are the basics of designing and installing these systems:
What is a gas fire extinguishing system?

A gas fire extinguishing system is an automated system that uses special gases instead of water to extinguish a fire. These systems are preferred because they do not damage electrical equipment and do not increase the humidity level in the room.

What gases are used?

Safe and effective gases for server rooms:

FM-200 (HFC-227ea): Does not damage electrical equipment, is safe for humans and has a quick effect.
NOVEC 1230: Does not damage the ozone layer, is environmentally friendly and effective.
Inert gases (argon, nitrogen or mixtures): Extinguish the fire by reducing the oxygen level in the room.
Design steps
Analysis and planning:

The server room size, air circulation system and equipment layout are determined.
The fire hazard level is assessed.
Selecting the right gas:

The right gas is selected taking into account the equipment and the safety of those working in the room.
System location:

Fire detection sensors (fire, heat or smoke detectors) are placed.
Gas generators are installed in optimal locations.
Technical design:

Gas storage pressure, volume and exhaust rate are determined.
Automated control system will be developed.
Main system components

Gas storage cylinders: Contain the required gas.
Fire detectors: Detect fire at an early stage.
Automatic control panel: Automatically starts the system.
Dispersion system (nozzle and pipes): Evenly distributes the gas throughout the room.
Warning alarm system: warns personnel with sound and light signals when a fire is detected or before a gas release.
Installation rules

It is necessary to ensure that all rooms in the premises are uniformly covered with gas.
Minimum delay and alarm systems for evacuation of people before a gas release must be installed.
The system must comply with local and international standards (NFPA 2001, ISO 14520, etc.).
Technical service

The system should be checked regularly (usually once or twice a year).
The working condition of fire alarms and gas storage cylinders should be checked.
If possible malfunctions are detected, they should be immediately eliminated.
